Public Building Energy Consumption in Ontario

This page allows you to explore the energy consumption of public buildings in Ontario. It is intended to highlight the best and worst performing buildings and help organizations identify good candidates for retrofit. It is also for individuals to see how the public buildings near them compare to others in Ontario.

To get started, search for a building name, organization (e.g. City of Toronto) or type of building type (e.g. Public Libraries). Then select the buildings you are interested in by clicking the results list or pins on the map. Once selected, an energy report for that building will appear below the map.

The energy efficiency of each building is ranked in two ways: in comparison to buildings of the same type, and in comparison to buildings owned by the same organization.
